Overview of Eczema

Eczema is an inflammatory skin disorder. It is described by patches of dry, red, flaky skin, often accompanied by areas that are inflamed, broken, moist and oozing. Homeopathy proposes very good treatment for eczema. According to Homeopathic principles, skin affections are usually an expression of an internal disorder and are therefore not treated only with external applications. Homeopathic medicines work towards eliminating the basic sensitivity to develop such a lesion using internal medicine.   • Grass pollen

  • Cosmetics, hairsprays, perfumes, antiperspirants and deodorants.

  • Nickel fastening and underwear elastic.

  • Weather changes and emotional stress.

  • Poor drainage of blood due to stagnation in the varicose veins causes varicose eczema.

  • Dry, red, inflamed, flaky patches on skin

  • Thickening, cracking and scaling of skin

  • Blisters

  • Itching

  • Oozing

 How common is eczema?

Eczema is a very common problem in children under the age of 12. Children with a parent, grandparent, sibling who have had Eczema, Hay fever or Asthma have an 80% chance of getting Eczema. Most children get it when they are under the age of 1 year. According to statistics, 15 – 25% of all dermatological patients suffer from Eczema. Surveys have shown that Eczema prevalence is increasing day by day.
