…Today’s healthcare environment demands creative
delivery strategies. Evidence clearly supports the need
for transformation to a NEW healthcare paradigm.
Phoenix, a mecca for complementary and alternative
medicine (CAM), a hothouse for “Green Medicine”, and a
Center of Excellence for many healthcare and educational
institutions, is positioned well to assume the national
leadership needed to execute the transformation to this
NEW paradigm realized by the establishment of
THE AMARA CENTER OF TRADITIONAL MEDICINE.
THE AMARA CENTER OF TRADITIONAL MEDICINE
is a 15 - bed
Hospital and Specialty Clinics: Women’s
Health, Fertility, Menopause; Men’s Health; Children’s
Health; Healthy Aging;
Weight Loss; Chronic Disease; Pain;
Stroke; and Cancer Support. To be located in the
Phoenix Metropolitan area, The Amara Center is projected
for a 2013 implementation. The Amara Center will provide
care across the life span founded on the principles and
practices of
Homeopathic, Asian and Integrative/Holistic Green
Medicine. It will triage and refer patients whose
needs are for allopathic treatment only.
The Amara Center will be built using green
materials and will offer a menu of personalized care
that pays strict attention to optimal wellness, the
needs of individuals and families, and respect for the
environment.
The Amara Center will have the capacity to serve 10,000
of Phoenix’s citizens and other population aggregates in
its first year of operation, through a combination of
inpatient, outpatient and community services. It will:
Use non-invasive, non-toxic, natural substances and
remedies offered by Asian and Homeopathic Medicine, and
holistic therapies to deliver care which support the
body’s natural capacity to heal more quickly.
Promote the achievement of
optimal levels
of wellness through community and continuing
education outreach and by offering education and
training opportunities for the public, medical, nursing
and allied health students.
Reduce health care costs by offering consumer-centered
personalized services and a wellness environment that
fosters higher staff retention, and excellence in care
leading to better clinical outcomes.
Use considerably less supplies than conventional
facilities. The Center’s practice of quality “green
care” will assist in it becoming more financially
sustainable over time, significantly reducing the cost
of supplies.
Create
a Research Collaborative that
fosters practitioner networking and promotes
a
new, higher standard of science-based pro-achievement of optimal health across the
life span.
AA total of $12 million dollars will be required to
establish The Amara Center. A detailed business plan can
be provided which will include physical plant
requirements and capital equipment, staffing, supplies
and other needed resources.
THE PHOENIX GREEN ALLIANCE,
founders of this Initiative, will provide the leadership
for The Amara Center, which will operate from a CAM
perspective.
